The Bon Caldo Ristorante is located at 1381 Boston - Providence Turnpike in Norwood, and there are also two other restaurants in the area, Bon Caldeo's in Boston and the Bodega in Providence. A fire was put out at a house on the corner of Boston Street and Providence Street in Norwood on December 16, 2014, Norwood Fire Department said in a news release.

Norwood's main public school is Norwood High School (NHS), which teaches grades 9 through 12. There are five primary schools serving grades 6-8, where they are combined into a single school with a total of about 1200 pupils.
