The show starts at 7 p.m. and has already featured top-class solo singers, including Rocket from the Crypt, the New Orleans Jazz & Blues Band and many more. The band won first place in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame at the Boston Music Festival, signed an artist development contract with MySpace Records, toured three times nationwide and toured the East Coast to open the show for acts like Foreigner and Orchestra. He has played countless concerts in New York, Boston, Chicago, Los Angeles, San Francisco, New Jersey, Philadelphia and many other cities. Phil plays with some of the hottest bands in the area, including Pappy Chulo, with a supporting act from none other than Incubus.
His instrumental skills range from saxophone and clarinet to bass guitar, drums and marching drums. He has played and worked with regional and national bands such as the Boston Symphony Orchestra, the New York Philharmonic and the Chicago Symphony. His love for instruments and what they enable him to do is what he wants to impart to his students. As guitarist, singer, bassist and keyboard player he toured and performed internationally and was heard as a producer on several recordings.
Besides music, he is an avid Star Wars and Marvel fan and if he is not teaching or practicing, he could probably be found watching cartoons and movies. Shawn is inspired by all rock music, as he likes to listen to and play a wide range of music. An avid reader and lover of all music, he enjoys it, but if he does not teach or practice, he can probably be found watching a cartoon or film.
Shawn has shared the stage with many of the most talented musicians on the Boston music scene, including John Mayer, David Bowie and the Rolling Stones. Dylan performed as a drummer on site and toured with a number of bands including Eric Clapton, Erin Harpe, John Prine, Chris Cornell and others. Nick has also played in many local bands and opened up to bands like Grateful Dead, Gucci Mane, G.O.A.R.D.E., to name a few. He has been performing at the New England Music Meet in Boston for several years and has also performed at many other local music meetings and festivals.
Providence metallers Kingsmen, who released their debut album Revenge, Forgiveness and Recovery on Sharptone Records in April 2020 and have made it to the Billboard charts, will perform at the Northwood Music Meet in Boston on Saturday, April 20, 2020.
Aaron holds a bachelor's degree in music education from the University of Rhode Island and a master's degree in music from Boston College. He has been taking private lessons for 12 years, taking summer courses, teaching music in middle school, and has been fortunate enough to have worked his way up through the music industry to reach his current position at the Northwood Music Meet in Boston.
He attended Berklee's five-week summer program and took lessons with Revocation as well as private lessons with the Boston Symphony Orchestra and Boston Public Schools.
He studied jazz and classical music at Western Connecticut State University and earned a bachelor's degree in music industry from the University of New Haven. He continued his studies privately, adhering strictly to the practice schedule, but most of all he still considered himself a music student.
Steve's passion and talent were recognised when he served as a three-year hockey captain, was editor of the paper and president of his class, and coached his hockey team. After graduating in 1975, he was also a member of the board of directors of the music department at Western Connecticut State University and the school's first black president.
Dylan attended UMass Lowell in 2009 as a music teacher and began teaching privately in 2011. He joined the School of Rock in 2013 as an assistant professor of music at the University of Massachusetts' Lowell's College of Music, and joined its music department in 2014.
